PGA OF BC AND VANCOUVER CANUCKS PARTNER TO LAUNCH CANUCKS JUNIOR GOLF WEEK

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

RICHMOND, B.C. (April 25, 2014) -The PGA of British Columbia in partnership with the Vancouver Canucks are proud to introduce Canucks Junior Golf Week, presented by Odlum Brown Limited. This new community partnership and program is designed to help children and youth from across British Columbia stay active and engaged in sport beyond the hockey season.

Canucks Junior Golf Week will take place from July 2-9, 2014, at more than 50 golf facilities throughout British Columbia. Children and youth aged 5-18 years will have fun learning the game of golf through certified PGA of British Columbia instructed golf camps in their respective communities. BC Hockey is also providing support to the program by extending this opportunity to their vast membership of minor hockey players around the province. Boys and girls from all sports and all skill levels are encouraged to register.

"We are excited to be partnering with the PGA of BC to offer this unique and fun program to kids across the province," said Chris Brumwell, Vice President, Communications & Community Partnerships, Canucks Sports & Entertainment. "We love hockey but there are great benefits for children and youth being active in a variety of sports and we are thrilled to join with PGA BC to provide more athletic opportunities."

"Communities from all over the province have already embraced this program and are thrilled at the chance of partnering with the Vancouver Canucks," says Donald Miyazaki, Executive Director of the PGA of British Columbia. "Our shared values in growing communities through sport makes this a great fit and Canucks Junior Golf Week will create opportunities for many kids to pick up a golf club for the very first time."

The cost for a one-day camp during Canucks Junior Golf Week is only $20 (+GST), and includes equipment rental (if required), snacks, facility fees and certified golf instruction. For more information and to register, please visit www.canucks.com/golfweek.
