When did you become a PGA of Canada Professional?
2017

What is the most rewarding part about being a member of the PGA of BC?
The positive impact that we can have on others in our communities. Some of the most influential people in my life have been PGA of BC members!

At which golf facility did you first begin working within the industry, and who was the PGA Professional?
Cordova Bay Golf Course when I was 16 years old. It was my first job picking range balls and cleaning carts for. The perfect summer job for a golf obsessed kid. Jim Goddard has been the head pro since day 1

Who has influenced your career the most, and how?
There are way too many people to count, but 3 names that come to mind are Lance McCullough, Bryn Parry, and Derek Thornley. Each of them has helped me become the person and professional I am today through endless support, advice, and great coaching.

What career path led you to where you are today?
N/A - only ever worked in the golf industry!

Which significant accomplishments are you most proud of?
I’d say the captaincy of the UBC Thunderbirds Men’s Golf Team and my 2022 PGA of BC Championship Title

If you had to share one piece of advice with a new member of our Association, what would it be?
Try Everything. Learn as much about the different parts of our industry as you can to find what you’re best at and most passionate about.

What is your most cherished golf memory?
I vividly remember the feeling after getting my first individual win in college. It was at the end of my last season and it felt so good to get the money off my back.

What is your favourite golf course in British Columbia, and why?
Capilano Golf and Country Club. Stanley Thompson is one of my favourite architects... 18 great holes, stunning views, and plenty of challenge.

What is a common misconception that golfers make about what your job entails?
The amount of golf we get to play! I wish I could play as much as our members think we do.

What is an interesting fact about yourself that doesn't involve golf?
I was scouted (very briefly) by the Vancouver Whitecaps when I was about 13. Safe to say it came to nothing in the end, but was pretty cool at the time.
