The PGA of British Columbia, in partnership with the Vancouver Canucks, share a belief in the importance of young athletes learning motor skills through participation in various sports.
Canucks Junior Golf Week is open to children and youth aged 5-17 years at golf facilities throughout British Columbia. Participants will effectively learn the game of golf through certified PGA of BC-instructed, single-day camps in their respective communities.
The PGA of British Columbia is proud to announce the return of Canucks Junior Golf Week in 2024. The program will take place from July 15-22 at dozens of communities throughout British Columbia. Last year, we had over 650 kids at 30 golf facilities (56 camps in total). This year, our goal is to grow the program to over 750 junior golfers. The skills developed through golf complement those of other sports, including hockey, while participating in golf also imparts important life skills such as honesty, sportsmanship, responsibility, integrity and respect. Participants will learn the benefits of staying active while exploring the game of golf, all the while meeting new friends and having fun. Canucks Junior Golf Week camps are practical for young golfers of all experience levels, including those who have previously never picked up a club. The initiative has introduced nearly 6,000 British Columbia youth to the sport since launching in 2014.
The cost for a one-day camp during the 2024 Canucks Junior Golf Week is only $25 (+GST), which includes equipment rental (if required), facility fees, a Vancouver Canucks-branded gift, and certified golf instruction. The length of each camp varies depending on the host facility, the number of attendees and the general age of the participants, however camps are estimated on average to run for approximately 60-90 minutes.
To register your children, please see the 2024 REGISTRATION PAGE, opening Tuesday, June 18 at 4PM PDT.
