The By-Laws state that any member of any category may resign at any time that he/she is in good standing and is not indebted to the Association in any manner whatsoever. Resignation shall be in writing and shall be directed to the National Office. Before the resignation is accepted, it must be ensured that the Member or Candidate for Membership has no outstanding indebtedness at either the Zone or the National level.
When the Zone receives a written resignation from a Member or Candidate for Membership, they then forward such notification on to the National Office. The National Office will process the resignation, remove the Member or Candidate for Membership from the database and send a letter to the individual resigning requesting the return of their membership card and notifying them of the available insurance transfers and implications of resignation.
Full refund of dues is available up to and including APRIL 1. Until JUNE 30, a pro-rated refund of dues and insurance are refunded. After JUNE 30, there is no refund of dues, just a pro-rated refund of insurance. Any applicable refund of dues and insurance premiums will be sent to the Member, Apprentice or Candidate once the membership card is returned to the National Office.
Any former member wishing to rejoin the Association will need to apply for reinstatement. Reinstatement requires National approval.
