Since its inception in 2005, the PGA of BC has been proud to partner with the ALS Society of British Columbia in developing the Golfathon for ALS.
PGA of BC professionals play golf from sunrise to sunset, in honour of lending their muscles to those who have lost theirs to the deadly disease. The goal for each professional is to play as many holes as possible through a 24-hour span.
Over the course of the past 17 years, the annual event held in the month of June has grown steadily each year, and we are proud to maintain a 100% retention rate from both professionals and facilities.
We are proud to have Global TV sportscaster Jay Janower as the official Ambassador of the event. Watch Global TV and listen to CKNW in May and June, when ads featuring Jay will air on those stations to help spread awareness about the Golfathon for ALS and how to get involved.
As of end of the 2022 campaign, the 17-year totals of the Golfathon for ALS are as follows:
In 2023, we aim to surpass the $3-million mark in total funds raised to aid patients living with ALS.
