It has been a few years since an update, but I seem to be busier now than previously advertised. I am quite enjoying a now near twenty-year affiliation as a teaching pro at University Golf Course, and also maintain full-time work on the grounds crew at McCleery. Competitive golf comes less and less, but I still enjoy any chance I get to hit a meaningful good shot amongst a batch of duds. Highlights of my previous life's competitive play were being the 1980 Canadian Junior champion; 1985 PGA of BC Assistants' champion.; 1990 PGA of BC champion; a few top ten's on the Canadian Tour, and trouncing the field by seven shots in the 1981 US Amateur qualifier, 36 holes in a day at Mill Creek GC outside of Seattle. Last victory in the 2007 Waterton Men's Open at the little-known Stanley Thompson design Waterton Lakes GolfCourse. 'Family is good, and may your's be as well! westy
